OCLTRG presented with $15,000 check from Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church
Donation will go to help veterans in Ocean County still recovering from Sandy.
Toms River, NJ – The Ocean County Long-Term Recovery Group (OCLTRG) was presented with a $15,000 check from the Rev. Dr. Carl Wilton, pastor of the Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church (PPPC), at their General Meeting earlier this month.
“We are so grateful for the generous donation to the OCLTRG from the Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church,” commented Sue Marticek, Executive Director of the OCLTRG. “It has come at the most opportune time in this recovery effort and will allow us to continue to assist the many homeowners still struggling to return home. The Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church has been there right from the start and was the church that launched volunteer hosting in Ocean County and has run one of the most successful hosting sites in the state. We appreciate the church and feel fortunate to have them as one of our partners in recovery.”
The donation came from the Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church’s disaster relief fund and was given to the OCLTRG as part of the church’s work to continue long-term recovery efforts at the Jersey shore. As part of a fundraising effort through Ocean First’s Charity Challenge, the whole of the donation will go to help veterans in Ocean County still recovering from Sandy.
